Four things that have changed my mind about this project.
#1: Images. Originally, I had one image in my head, and I formed my story around that image. I felt good about my idea, but I wasn't invested in it. I kept questioning it. There were too many holes, and I felt like I was making it happen, rather than allowing it to develop.
#2: Rehearsal with my girls last Sunday for a different project. It was warm and sunny outside, and we spent our time in nature. I was inspired by their movement and their livication.
#3: My commitment to my music.
#4: Filming Kristin for her project last Monday. I realized, I don't want to be the one in front of the camera, I want to be behind it.
So now my plan is different, and we'll be filming tomorrow. I have been almost overwhelmed rehearsing the women, finding costumes, choosing lighting, etcetera. But I have faith in these dancers, in my lighting designer, in my (our) music, and in my idea.
